Champagne and sunsets at Scenic Hill
The rocky outcrop of scenic hill is well known for years ago being the reclusive home of a heart-broken hermit.
However, don't let its tragic past deter you as scenic hill offers one of the best views in Griffith.
Take a bottle of champagne, some cheese and biscuits, have a picnic and relax as twilight descends around you.
Wine tasting
Why bother whisking your other half all the way to the Hunter Valley when some of the best wineries in Australia are right on your door step?
While most of the Griffith cellar doors will be closed on Valentine's Day itself there is nothing to stop you celebrating love a day early and spending your Saturday wandering through wineries.
Visit some of our famous wineries, taste the award winning range of wines on offer and maybe even pick up a bottle or two to take home with you.
A night at the cinema
While it's a cliché, it's a cliché for a good reason, take your loved one out to a night at the movies this Valentine’s Day.
Griffith City Cinema will be open Sunday and depending on what tickles your romantic fancy there is plenty on offer.
Deadpool and The Choice will both be showing at 7pm and with Carol showing at 9.20pm and with Zoolander at 6.40pm there is something on offer for every relationship.
A fancy dinner
Griffith is well known for the fine cuisine it offers so why not take advantage and spend a night celebrating a love of food and each other?
The Griffith Exies Club will be hosting an elegant Valentine’s Day dinner with a specially designed menu. For more details visit www.exies.com.au.
A day at the art gallery

The exhibition will be showing a collection based around printing in Australia over the last ten years, curated by Charles Sturt University’s art curator Dr. Thomas A.Middlemost.
The gallery will be open from 11am to 2pm and entry is free.
An evening with Guy Sebastian
Does a night spent with you, your loved one, Guy Sebastian and the rest of his local fans sound like your perfect Valentine’s Day?
