Tucker handed over the captaincy to Phil Burge last week in an attempt to kick Exies into gear.
The plan worked and Burge will now captain against Hanwood on Saturday at Exies No.2 and for the remainder of the Griffith District Cricket Association first grade competition.
“Phil Burge will captain for the last five weeks, he led the team real well,” Tucker said.
“It was just to get a bit of a fresh face in there, get the culture back and get back on the winning board again.”
Tucker said Exies finally showed their potential last week against Diggers.
“Everyone bowled well, fielded well and batted well too,” he said.
“If we had have played like that for the past six or seven weeks we probably would of won most games.”
Exies still has a long way to make the finals and will need results to fall in its favour.
Hanwood will also be desperate for a win after losing to Leagues Club.
The match starts at 1pm.
