After losing ruck duo Michael Griffiths and Josh Hamilton over the off-season, Griffith has added some much-needed height to their list over the past month.
The Swans have welcomed Jordon Wood, Vince Pecora and Jason Heffer on board.
Wood played in Ungarie’s Northern Riverina League premiership last year and will be given the opportunity to start in the ruck.
Pecora, a potential key forward, only played a handful of games last year due to overseas travel but arrives from the Alberton Football League in the Gippsland region.
Heffer has also joined the Swans after a decorated rugby league career with Yenda.
Pavese is happy with how things are coming together.
“I’m pretty happy with how things are tracking along,” Pavese said.
“We had some significant losses in the big man department...but I think we’ve covered our losses.
“We’re not going to have any bona fide superstars, we’re going to be an even unit and that’s how we want to be. We don’t want to have to rely on anyone.”
The Swans have had 40 players at training as they look to make the jump into finals.
They have trials lined up against Gungahlin in Canberra on March 19 and Northern Jets on March 24.
