A field of 23 competed in a single stableford on February 3. There were three divisions with Liz Graham the winner of Div 1 on 36 and runner-up Lesley Bock on 31. Div 2 winner was Shirley Painting on 34 and runner-up Eleanor Hancock on 30. The winner of Div 3 was Robyn Hoare on 36 with the runner-up Dulcie Knight on 33.
A best nine (holes 10 to 18) was awarded for each division with the winners Dale Spence on 18 in Div 1, Kath Gullifer on 15 in Div 2 and Heather Eagleton on 18 in Div 3. There were five ball winners for those with a score of 28 or better.
Saturday was the first stroke round of the year and a field of 22 enjoyed perfect golfing conditions. The winner of Div 1 with a net score of 74 was Liz Graham, with runner-up Prue Watson on net 77. Div 2 winner was Dale Spence with a net 78 and runner-up was Kerri-Anne Keely on a countback with a net 80. Div 3 winner was Kaye Dalton with a net 71 and runner-up was Heather Eagleton on 77 net. There were four ball winners for those with a net score of 81 net or better.
Opening day for the 2016 season is Wednesday, March 2, and the Griffith Club will also be hosting the opening of the Riverina Ladies Golf Association season on Monday, March 7.
This will be a 4BBB event at a cost of $30 per player, further details from the clubhouse.
