The man was breath tested on Crossing Street at 1.35am and taken to Griffith Police Station where he was issued a court attendance notice.
Inspector Kim Traynor said after a number of years winning the war on drink driving it was disappointing some drivers no longer heeded the warnings about the dangers of driving while intoxicated.
