GRIFFITH Tennis Juniors excelled at the champion of champions in Wagga recently, with the best players for their age in the southwest battling it out for a top three place to play in the state championships.
Annaliese Quarisa has dominated the 12 years age group throughout the year and once again sailed through the draw until meeting teammate Alison Triggs, Annaliese edging Alison out for the local quinella.
Binit Shresthna won the 14 boys with style, with Srishail Maskey runner-up in 16 boys, while Elise Townsend was rewarded for her hard work with a runner-up in 10 girls.
Despite playing an excellent brand of tennis, Jaidyn Dickie just missed out on third place, along with improving Cooper Savage, with Will Townsend and Jessica Draper making the top eight.
Annaliese and Alison are now in training for the Medibank State Final to be held in Penrith.
