The Murrumbidgee Shire Community (MSC) Demonstration Farm has injected $310,000 back into the local community.

The MCS held their annual general meeting on Monday, November 16 where cheques were handed out.
Donations were made to local organisations who grew crops or contributed water to the demonstration farm for the 2014/15 season.
Darlington Point Apex Club received $179,497.38 for growing a very successful cotton crop of 13 and a half bales per ha.
Coleambally Football Netball Club grew a wheat crop and received $21,825.64.
Coleambally Rugby Club also grew a wheat crop and received $37, 858.43.
St Peter’s Primary School also grew a wheat crop and received $18,422.97.
Lions Club, who contributed water and grew a rice crop in 13/14, received $49,909.70.
Further to these major donations this year, the farm made donations to various other groups.
The Country Education Fund received $2,500 to assist with scholarships for local school leavers who wish to further their education.
$3,000 was donated to Fusion Group to help support local children at the drop in centre and their annual trip to Uluru and $2,500 went to the Bitterns in rice project which is monitors bitterns with satellite transmitters to determine where the bitterns go after rice harvest.
Finally the Coleambally Community Club will be able to repair their ceiling after receiving $4500.
The Murrumbidgee Shire Community Demonstration Farm is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation that distributes approximately 85 per cent of its profits back into the community. It has been donating since 1998 and has donated $1,485,369 into the Murrumbidgee Shire community in both Darlington Point and Coleambally.
Over the years the MSC has assisted all major organisations in the shire including schools, sporting and social organisations, aged care, service groups, education funds, fusion and other church groups.
Darlington Point Apex and Coleambally Lions have also benefited and they in turn also donate back to the community.
