Competing in the banked slalom SB-LL2 category, Badenhorst finished second behind Dutch competitor Lisa Bunschoten, with US snowboarder Heidi Jo Duce claiming third.
Badenhorst said the result was a positive start to her World Cup series.
“What an incredible couple of days, some of the more difficult ones I have had on snow, but after every low there is a massive high,” Badenhorst wrote on her Facebook page.
“Not a bad way to kick-start the season.”
Bandehorst will spend Christmas in Griffith before returning overseas to compete in Canada and Europe in early 2016.
The 21-year-old is scheduled to race in another nine World Cup competitions this season.
