The burger itself is your classic Aussie style burger you can get from the Hot Olive Bistro at the Area Hotel, but with a twist.
“It’s got a blue bun made by Vaccari’s, they've custom made it,” Area Hotel bartender Freddie Moala said.
“We’re hoping to do 1000 burgers so we want everyone to come in, have a feed and donate some money to the Leukaemia Foundation.
“It costs $25 for a burger and chips, and $5 from every burger sold goes towards the foundation.”
A burger wouldn't be complete without a tiny flag on top.
Design and Signs have come on board and donated 1000 stickers to be put on the flags for the U.G.L.Y burgers.
The U.G.L.Y, which stands for Understanding Generous Likeable You, campaign has already started and will run until November 16.
Along with the U.G.L.Y burger, The Area Hotel has set up several other fundraising efforts.
We've got buckets on top of the bars and on the weekend we will have a keg set up where people can chuck in a gold coin donation.

“We've got buckets on top of the bars and on the weekend we will have a keg set up where people can chuck in a gold coin donation,” Mr Moala said.
“We also have merchandise for sale all the prices are on the blackboard.
“There’s wristbands, headband, bottle openers and t-shirts with the U.G.L.Y logo.”
Mr Moala turns into DJ Static on the weekends at The Area Hotel and will use his power behind the decks to chip in more money to the cause.
“I’m one of the DJs on the weekend and I’m going to have a bucket next to my DJ gear,” he said.
“People can request songs, but they have to pay for it.”
The competition aims to raise valuable money and support for the Leukaemia Foundation.
The campaign was devised in 2009 as a hospitality fundraising competition, and The Area Hotel entered in 2013 where they raised $10,000.
