Griffith trainer Gino D’Altorio will saddle up champion galloper Sonro in Monday’s Lilly Pilly Cup (1150m) in Leeton.

The $15,000 feature event will be Sonro’s first race since his fourth at the Griffith Cup last month.
The eight-year-old gelding will carry a top weight of 64.5kg for the Lilly Pilly Cup and will be ridden by Michael Heagney.
D’Altorio has also nominated four-year-old mare Lady Jesse for the Benchmark 50 Handicap (1600m).
