Diggers didn’t win a game of one or two-day cricket in the Griffith District Cricket Association last summer after struggling to post competitive totals.
The club’s roster for 2015-16 hasn’t been settled, but one confirmed pick up is Exies all-rounder Dom Brown.
Diggers open their season against reigning premiers Exies at Exies No.2 on Saturday, but Smith isn’t expecting miracles first up.
“They (Exies) have been the reigning premiers the past two years,” he said.
“We’re just hoping to be competitive, get a few runs and bowl well when we get the chance.”
