Friends and family of Mr Zanatta came together to celebrate the centenarian’s birthday on Wednesday at Scalabrini Village.
Mr Zanatta enjoys a glass of wine every day but didn’t attribute the ritual to his longevity.
Mr Zanatta had a very simple philosophy to why he had lived such a long life.
“To be honest in the world, that's my theory,” Mr Zanatta said when asked what his secret was.
“If you’re honest, you live longer. No hate, no arguments.”
Mr Zanatta and his wife, Elsa have been living at Scalabrini Village for 18 months where they are more than happy.
The happy couple became married in 1940 and have travelled all over the world.
