At “Burnside” on the Yanko Creek at Euroley, the owners continue with the makeover of an old and neglected garden into the showpiece that is now emerging.
The extensive and well planted garden at “Billenbah” on the Murrumbidgee, also at Euroley, graces an old pioneering homestead on a rise with lawns leading down to the river.
It was here in 1911 that two women were murdered (written about by Bryce Courtenay in Jessica).
An $8 light lunch will be served in the garden of “Billenbah”. A further six town gardens will be open.
Maps to gain entry to gardens, plus a Devonshire Tea, is $10 at the park near the Visitors Centre from 9am to 2.30pm with viewing to dusk.
In support of the Garden Club the East Street Gallery of Imaginations will be open on the day from 10am to 4pm.
Local business man David Farley has restored an old building to house an eclectic art collection gathered over 30 years plus during his agribusiness work in Australia and globally.
