There were 3350 new season lambs penned and prices lifted $5 to $8/head.
Light lambs averaged $123/head. Trade weights sold from $127 to $158/head. Heavy lambs ranged in price from $152 to $178/head. Carcase prices averaged from 628c to 655c/kg cwt.
Old lambs were also $5 to $6/head dearer.
Light lambs averaged $115/head. Trade weights sold from $120 to 4149/head. Heavy lambs received from $152 to $172 and extra heavy weights received $176 to $208/head. Carcase prices averaged 607c to 640c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality was fair. Prices remained strong, with Merino ewes selling from $84 to $132/head. Crossbred ewes made $100 to $118/head.
