On Friday, August 7 The Area Hotel held a Mexican themed night to raise money for Griffith Post School Options.
More than $1000 was raised in total for Griffith Post School Options that will go towards the needs of their clients.
The Hot Olive Bistro head chef Roderick Pieper said The Area Hotel was looking to do more themed nights to raise money for local charities.
“We were looking at local charities who needed a helping hand,” Mr Pieper said.
“These are the first of many nights I hope will be coming for Post School Options and other charities.
“We put the idea together for the Mexican-themed night with the food and the drinks and based it around that.
“We made it engaging and fun for people with some different food and themed it up with some Mexican gear.”
Post School Options service manager Roy Catanzariti thanked The Area Hotel for the donation.
