The score ended 2-1 in favour of City, but Yenda led for the majority of the match thanks to a penalty goal midway through the first half.
It took City until the dying minutes of regular time to tie the game up. City’s Ross Panebianco stepped up to take a free kick from 30 yards out. The resulting strike went over the wall and into the bottom left-hand corner, taking the game into golden goal extra time.
When play restarted, Matt Kenny weaved through several defenders and passed out wide to Jaye Baheramsjah, who laid his boot into the ball to score the winning goal.
City coach Paul Burley named Simon Bonetti and Scott Keith as his team’s best players.
