The Blacks will now prepare for a preliminary final showdown against Waratahs, who beat them in an extra-time thriller in the first week of the playoffs.
Blacks coach Aaron Lawrence expects a tough match but is confident of reversing the result.
“We know the team we’re up against,” he said.
“Hopefully we can give them back a little bit of retribution for what happened in the last game.”
Also enjoying a victory on Saturday were the Hay Cutters.
The Griffith Blacks’ reserve grade team finished the season as minor premier and confirmed its title favouritism by winning through to the grand final with a 27-17 victory over Waratahs.
