The presentation was made at the 31st annual changeover luncheon by past district chairman Rosemary Clark from Yarrawonga.
Renee is a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Griffith East.
The changeover was held at the Griffith Exies. There are seven clubs in the Riverina and members attended from Albury, Griffith East, Leeton, Narrandera, Wagga, Yarrawonga, Mulwala and Yenda.
The lunch meeting was well attended and the Tongan choir provided live entertainment.
Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s voluntary organisations in the world.
Set up in 1924, the group has more than 100,000 members from 103 countries across the globe.
Five members of the Griffith East club have held position of district chairman and one member is a founder of the club.
Members enjoy working together to help charities locally, nationally and internationally.
The clubs are friendship clubs dedicated to service.

Inner Wheel was started by a nurse, Margarette Golding, in 1924.
The Griffith club supports the national Inner Wheel project of cord blood research, the district Kittenden Project, the citrus sculpture display, Clean Up Australia and local charities such as Country Hope, the Salvation Army, cerebral palsy, Meals on Wheels and the women’s refuge.
Members are also knitting lap rugs for nursing home residents.
The club raises money by conducting raffles, holding barbecues and this year held a Greek dinner with all food prepared by members.
A guest speak is invited to each meeting and the club has a social outing for members each month.
The club has 13 members and meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Leagues Club.
New members are welcome.
