The cinemas will donate proceeds raised from a showing of Last Cab to Darwin.
The showing is raising much needed funds for the 2015 Kalinda School excursion to Canberra.
All tickets cost $17 a head.
Tickets can be purchased from the Kalinda School office.
The movie, starring Michael Caton and Jackie Weaver, will be played on Thursday, August 6 at 6.30pm.
The film was shot on the road from Broken Hill to Darwin, which makes it a vivid portrait of outback life at an unspecified time that blends past and present.
Last Cab's real triumph is Caton's warmth and vulnerability as Rex discovers late in life what really matters.
