The match, which took place on a cold night down at Exies Oval, started badly for Griffith City when they conceded an own goal.
Just before half-time, Yoogali FC doubled their lead after they were awarded a penalty that found the back of the net.
Yoogali FC’s Ben Watts was sent off in the second half, but all the red card seemed to do was spur on the away side.
A second successful penalty shot for Yoogali FC sealed the match.
Goals were scored by Aaron Sergi and Archie Watkins.
Yoogali FC co-coach Rocky Marando has always placed an emphasis on defence and has been impressed by his side’s recent efforts.
Against Griffith City, he said his side could have won by more.
“When our player received a red card, I thought we dominated possession more,” Marando said.
“I think the scoreline doesn't (show) our dominance. We missed a lot of chances.
“It was great to get our second clean sheet in a row.”
The win continues Yoogali FC’s rise up the Billabong Cup ladder.
They now sit in fourth position – three points clear of Leeton United and six points behind Wests in third.
On the other hand, Griffith City sit second last, goal difference keeping them off the bottom of the ladder.
