The Swans dominated from the opening siren and led at every change to prevail 23.9 (147) to 11.9 (75).
Mick Duncan was a force in the forward line and finished with eight majors, while Josh Hamilton and Will Griggs each booted three goals.
The Swans were heavy favourites to win the round 11 clash, but Griffith assistant coach Tom Groves was still pleased to see his side perform to the level expected, especially after the previous week’s four-point loss to Leeton-Whitton.
He said the Swans never looked in danger of losing.
“We had a bit of a lapse in the third quarter, and they (Narrandera) kicked back, but throughout the whole day we were on top,” Groves said.
“It stemmed from our midfield. They were pretty exceptional.
“We really set it up with our inside 50s. Everyone was working hard and was very disciplined over the ground for most of the game.”
The Swans have a big chance to make it two wins in a row when they host bottom-placed Turvey Park at Exies Oval this Saturday.
It’s a game they can’t afford to drop. Griffith are in a battle with the Wagga Tigers, Collingullie-Glenfield Park, Coolamon and Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong for the last three spots in the top five.
With another seven rounds to play, anything can happen, but Groves said the Swans still controlled their destiny.
“I think we’ve been playing pretty good footy the last few weeks,” he said.
“We’re feeling really confident going into the second half of the year and believe if we keep on playing the way we have, we can beat most sides.
“If we keep winning, it doesn’t leave anything to chance for us.”
Groves, however, could be on the sideline for the next couple of games after injuring his hamstring in the first quarter against Narrandera.
“I’m not sure how bad it is yet,” he said. “But it might be one or two games.”
