A LOCAL preschool has been left reeling after heartless thieves stole play equipment.
Griffith Preschool Kindergarten acting director Franca Panarello called the discovery of the missing items "disappointing".
"I can't believe that they came into our preschool yard and stole two of our climbing frames, our outdoor clock and hose fittings," she said.
"We are a not-for-profit service who works hard to provide for our community.
"The staff and children find it sad to come to preschool to find our equipment stolen."
Ms Panarello has made a plea for the return of the two dark red A-frames.
"If you have our equipment please return it," she said.
"The children are the ones missing out."
"These A-frames have been kept outside for years and we've never had a problem before.
"We don't want to have to padlock the place but it looks like it may come to that."
The items were stolen sometime in the past two weeks and Ms Panarello believes it would have taken more than one person to remove them.
"They were quite heavy to move," Ms Panarello said.
"We have had to fundraise for everything we've got here and it's just so disappointing when something like this happens."
