GRIFFITH police have arrested a man they claim tried to destroy methamphetamine (ice) when confronted by officers.

Target Action Group members arrested the 27 year old Griffith man in Bridge Road on Thursday 28 May 2015 in possession of ice, cash and other items.
The man was driving a vehicle around 11am when stopped by police.
“After initial investigations, the man was searched and found to be in possession of an indictable quantity of methamphetamine, which he attempted to destroy, and a large amount of cash,” police Inspector Paul Smith said in a statement.
“Also seized from the vehicle was an amount of equipment suspected of being used in the production of a prohibited drug and property suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained.”
The man has been charged with supply prohibited drug, dealing in the proceeds of crime, destruction of evidence and goods in custody.
Police granted him bail and he will face Griffith Local Court on June 24.
More investigations were under way.
