The Group 20 ladder leaders are yet to suffer a loss this season but received a major scare against Leeton the previous round.
The Panthers were cruising towards victory when they led by 16 points with 15 minutes remaining but clocked off early and were nearly punished by the fast-finishing Greens, who eventually went down by six.
While the ending was forgettable, Panthers co-coaches Craig Morriss and David Milne would have been impressed with their side’s performance in the first three-quarters of the game.
Halfback Stephen Broome continued his outstanding season to score a hat-trick, and Panthers fans will hope the talented playmaker is brewing another big game for DPC.
The Roosters are fresh off the bye and have made an excellent start to the season, coach Ryan McGoldrick guiding his team to second on the ladder with a 3-1 record.
