United recorded their second win of the season last week against Yenda, which lifted them off the bottom of the ladder.
Leeton coach Daniel Alampi hopes the form turnaround will continue as more players return to his side.
“We’ve struggled with numbers, but we’ve been starting to get a few blokes back,” Alampi said.
“That’s probably the major thing. We’ve struggled to get blokes to training through injury. Hopefully we can minimise the injuries.”
Wests and Leeton last played in round two, with Wests running out 5-2 victors – the result part of a four-game winning streak.
After that, Wests suffered two defeats in a row before drawing the bye last week.
Alampi thinks the bye will work to Wests’ advantage but said his side was more than capable of getting the job done.
“I think if we played them (Wests) before the bye, they would be a bit vulnerable because confidence is a big thing,” he said.
“In saying that, they lost to the best two teams in the comp, so they're still playing good football.
“Coming off the bye, it freshens guys up and works in their favour.
“They'll be raring to go and looking to solidify their spot in the top four.
“We play a similar style of game, so it suits us, that style of play.
“We can play our natural passing game and hope we’re better at it on the day.”
Wests coach Sharif Moursi agrees that the bye couldn’t have come at a better time for his side.
“We had the bye last week, which helped to heal a couple of niggly injuries,” Moursi said.
“The boys are still very positive. They lost to two great sides in Hanwood FC and Yoogali SC.”
Despite his side beating Leeton last time, Moursi doesn’t take United lightly.
“Leeton is always a very tough side, especially at home,” he said.
“They are a competitive side. It will be a different story to last time we met.
“They definitely have an eye on a spot in the top four, but we are ready.”
Kick-off is at 3pm.
