Farrer were too strong at the contest and ran riot across the ground on their way to a big win, 17.16 (118) to 8.14 (62).
It was an impressive display from an under-strength Farrer line-up and it could have been bigger if not for wasteful disposal and inaccuracy in front of goals.
Farrer’s big three forwards Matt Wallis, Marc Geppert and Matt Harpley were a constant threat, while midfielders Sam Fisher, Chris Block, Mitch Carroll and Lachie Flagg enjoyed days out.
Farrer coach Jason McPherson was pleased to deliver the league a win.
“The league has recruited well and done very well,” McPherson said.
He admitted he was surprised by the ease of the win.
“I’m extremely happy, considering the injuries leading up and the calibre of players that were injured and couldn’t make the team,” he said.
