Impreza's Tina Kirkman won the first game against Norma Spencer before Spencer recovered to win the match in four, giving Captiva their first rubber in the decider.
Jason Wilds levelled the ledger by defeating Joe McGillvray before Graham Foley proved too strong for Pieter van Der Merwe, the result again putting Captiva in the lead.
Jason Wilds had to step up for Gerry Wilcox but could not repeat his effort from the semi-final when he defeated Dianne Signor.
Signor was at her best and played brilliantly to give the minor premiers a third rubber.
Impreza needed the final two rubbers for the championship to be decided in games.
With both matches played simultaneously, the pressure was on all four players. The contests didn't disappoint, with both rubbers decided in five games.
Simon Fattore snatched a narrow win over Ian Carter, and Nic Calcutt had Kris Centofanti on the ropes at two games all and up 7/0 in the fifth when Centofanti made a remarkable come back to prevail 9/7.
Captiva won five rubbers to one, the final scoreline not doing justice to the calibre of the games.
Players are reminded that all winter competitions start this week.
