The flowers will be available next to the Commonwealth Bank on Banna Avenue from this Thursday.
“They’re just amazing,” Mrs Portolesi said.
This will be her ninth year selling the flowers, which she planted with her husband in January.
“They get nicer every year.
“I’ll be there (at the stall) about seven in the morning just starting to put everything out, the girls will be there around 7.30 or 8am.”
She said harvesting and packaging the flowers was a lot of work.
“It’s a big job, we pace ourselves over a couple of days, then we concentrate in the shed till its all done.
“I haven’t been to the markets the last two years because I ran out of a street stall.”
The chrysanthemums sell for $10 a bunch.
“We sell for Can Assist and give a percentage to Can Assist.”
