Last week on Friday, April 17 the libraryhad a paper plane workshop and competition for keen local youngsters.
The workshop kicked off with a book reading, about a paper aeroplane competition, to get all the kids excited.
The children were then given all the paper, and parental help, they needed to make the perfect paper aeroplane.
They then got to test how far their planes could go. There was no winner on the day, it was all for a bit of fun.
The day was part of the library’s weekly storytime session.
Storytime sessions are held every Friday at 11am.
The library staff keep the children entertained with a new selection of stories and craft activities every week.
The paper plane competition comes on the back of Lego Club that has been running throughout the holidays and has proved a hit with kids.
