The Greens defeated Griffith Black and White Panthers 10-6 in the final after eliminating West Wyalong 16-6 in the semis.
Greens coach Kelly Pauls said her team played better as the day wore on.
“By the end we got it together, but we were very green at the start,” she said.
“I think it showed all teams are going to be very equal. It’s going to be a very level playing field this year.”
But Pauls is confident of success after growing her squad to 21 players over summer. She said the Darlington Point carnival and earlier knockouts in Young and West Wyalong had allowed her to experiment with Leeton’s line-up.
“For me it was a chance to see the new girls and where they could play, as well as build match fitness,” she said.
In other results, West Wyalong won the plate final against Darlington Point-Coleambally 24-6.
