Coleambally batted first at West End Oval and scored 131 before restricting the Panthers to 87.
Winning captain Tom Fuller said a solid team effort delivered Coleambally the trophy.
“I thought 120 was a par score, so I knew 130 would prove pretty competitive,” he said.
“We normally bowl pretty tight, which we did again.
“We didn’t leak too many runs in the field. Young Jack Weymouth-Smith fielded well for us, I thought.
“We unfortunately dropped a couple of catches early on, which was a bit worrying, but we fought back after that.”
Coleambally’s bowlers shared the wickets, with Simon Mackie (3-15) and Nathan Jones (2-14) returning the best figures.
Mackie also made a big contribution with the bat, his 33 not out helping boost Coleambally to a defendable total.
Leagues Cub paceman Dean Villata was destructive with the ball and finished with 4-17 off eight overs, but the Panthers couldn’t capitalise on his efforts at the batting crease.
After a solid opening stand between Derek Opo (17) and Ted Jones (18), the wickets fell constantly for Leagues Club, who tallied four ducks in their score of 87.
But while it ended up a comfortable victory, Fuller admitted to a few nerves early in the Panthers’ run chase.
“They (Leagues Club) made a pretty good start,” he said.
“They came from fourth to make the final, which was a pretty good effort.
“Leagues had a few players with first grade experience, so I always thought it would be a tight contest.
“It was a lot tighter than the scorecard suggested.”
But Fuller said it was no fluke Coleambally had enjoyed so much premiership success the past decade.
“Once we got that first wicket, we tightened it up and got on a roll,” he said.
“Overall, the boys played really well.”
