The Blueheelers registered a 24-0 win over the Yanco-Wamoon Hawks in the final at EW Moore Oval.
Yenda looked in control throughout the match, however captain-coach Tom Sellars said the score didn’t reflect the game.
“They (Yanco-Wamoon) were pretty strong. They had a big pack and they kept going all day,” Sellars said.
“Their hooker, Glen Dumbrell, he's very handy, really fast, but I think we controlled them really well.
“Our defence was unreal. We didn't put a foot wrong. Everyone was talking, sliding and pushing for each other.
“On the back of that, that's where the attack came.”
Sellars said Yenda had a good completion rate.
“I think we did six from nine in the first half. That put us on the front foot and we went from there,” he said.
“Our halves played well. Duane (Sykes) and Tama (Miritana) guided us around really well. We were missing that last year.
“Jesse (Kapene), our big front-rower, he went well too. I don't think anyone had a bad game. Everyone put in for each other.”
Solid defence from the get-go provided the base that led to Yenda’s first try.
The Blueheelers didn’t allow Yanco to get out of their half before the Hawks’ defensive line finally cracked when a brilliant offload from prop Peter Ramika sent Kapene over.
Off the restart Yenda charged up the field before receiving a penalty 10 metres out. Shortly after Kapene was at it again, barging over from short range to move the score to 12-0.
Yenda once again got into opposition territory off the kick-off, but the Hawks were able to stop their rivals this time.
A penalty for a swinging arm gifted Yanco their first chance in Yenda’s red zone.
The Hawks had three sets on Yenda’s line, but the Blueheelers held them out before the half-time siren sounded.
Yenda settled back into their groove after the break as hooker Richard Bamblett spun his way over the tryline following a penalty.
Josh Bryant put the final nail in the coffin for Yanco when the speedster ran 80 metres to make it 24-0 with a few minutes remaining.
In other results, Yenda beat Leeton 22-20 in the under 16s final, while Yanco-Wamoon won the under-18s decider against Yenda/TLU 24-18.
