The paediatrician said he was concerned about the lack of services on offer.
“There is a one in four chance of getting depression in a lifetime and it needs to be diagnosed early,” Dr Misra said.
A treatment facility for drug users was also desperately needed, he said.
Dr Misra said there needed to be more funding for treatment allocated.
He said he had enjoyed contesting the seat of Murray. “I had family and friends from here and friends from Sydney touring about the booths,” Dr Misra said.
He said he spoke to people and the main concerns were the uncertainty over water allocations and the economy.
