Ms Dalton visited polling booths around the region to further push her case to get elected.
She only started her campaign six weeks ago but has managed to cover a lot of the electorate in a short period of time.
The independent said at the very least she wanted to reduce the gap in which Adrian Piccoli won the last election.
“Well, I think that I'll have achieved a marginal seat and the bonus would be a win, if we can get there,” she said.
“Sometimes you can get a lot of positive feedback but it doesn't resonate with a vote for you.
“I am quietly confident that I'll be reasonably happy with the result.”
“We've really worked hard to get the message out there and I think in the time that we've had, we've done an excellent job.
“People know that I'm around and that's the main thing.
“My team have been absolutely amazing and we've just worked and focused on it tirelessly, they'd all be exhausted.”
Ms Dalton has taken many a phone call in the lead up to the election and the same two concerns kept coming up.
“Anyone phoning in to see how the election is going, they talk about water and ice,” she said.
“People relay stories about their family.
“They're the main two, obviously there’s other things that they are unhapy about.
“They just want to get this region producing to its maximum so we can lead healthy, well educated lives.”
