Max Buljubasic – Country Labor
I will restore true political representation for our communities in the electorate of Murray regardless of their size. The slogans on my election campaign fliers: "I will always put local residents first" and "Standing up for our community" are there for good reasons.
These phrases will guide me, as a future NSW Country Labor MP for Murray, all the time. I gave my commitment to voters, while campaigning in Deniliquin, that if elected to NSW Parliament I would spend first 12 months on backbench.
I will travel the electorate and collecting information from farming communities, local residents, as well as political, community and business representatives in order to establish infrastructure needs and address important issues in best possible way.
These consultations and people of Murray needs will determine my future role in NSW Labor government or opposition. Water or Agriculture Minister or Shadow Minister, would be great role to play and meet expectations of voters in seat of Murray.
Dr Atul Misra – Independent
My commitment will be to work hard for the electorate. My professional work has been ongoing for number of years in different countries and different states in Australia, allowing me to experience the different culture and political systems.
As an independent candidate, I will have the capacity to assess different point of views and consider ones that will be most beneficial to Murray electorate and NSW state.
Furthermore, I can speak four languages including Hindi, Arabic, Urdu and English, which will allow me to communicate with the different ethnic groups in the community.
Improvement in health services, education, jobs, water allocation and local problems associated with the Murray Darling Basin, improving economy of the region by attracting tourism, boosting agriculture and manufacturing will be my priorities.
I am a good team worker, communicator and am willing to listen to others point of view. I am open to suggestions and ideas and will use them to guide my decision making.
Helen Dalton – Independent
If elected as the member for Murray I will be willing to take on the challenges and big ideas, discuss and debate those concepts and to come to a reasoned, compromised position that benefits everyone.
I want to do better than the status quo. I want to do better by you, the people who elect me. It is time that we started electing people who will look out for all of US. Governments should work for the people in all regions equally.
I am committed to regional rural communities and will aggressively fight for a better deal for the people of the Murray electorate.
I am person of vision who is passionate about our region, proactive, very determined and energetic. I am not a career politician but someone that wants to get a job done. I will be a servant of the electorate.
Brian Mills – Independent
Increased revenue is essential for Australia and Murray. I will debate with Adrian, other candidates and voters that Australia needs selective tariffs and countervailing duty - that Murray needs barrages open $105m, fixed dollar $50m, countervailing duty to give Valencia farmers $350 per tonne $30m and phased in additional production $70m. To this $255m, I apply a community factor of 3:1 giving an additional $765m per annum.
I will ensure that additional revenue is invested in Murray including small towns to retain and regain services.
I have challenged Jillian Skinner by email and fax for a debate that FSANZ was bribed in April 2012 to remove zero tolerance of impurities in imported food and drink as advocated by APVMA. My challenge to all including Adrian appears in Face Book under ‘Carbendazim is Cancerous.’
A challenge to the Chief Chemist NSW Food Authority who wrote accepting Maximum residue limits (MRLs) for carbendazim.
Adrian Piccoli – Nationals
Four years ago this state was in a mess. We were the worst performing state or territory in the country.
I am a senior minister in a government that has made sure NSW is now number one in almost every category.
We have made sure we have delivered for country NSW, especially western NSW.
As a local member I will continue fighting for what this electorate needs, whether it is water, health care, schools or jobs for young people.
I will make sure we keep getting our fair share.
I will always represent the best interests of this electorate and as a member of the government I will make sure we continue to run this state properly.
Criticism and pointing out the problems is easy - we can all do that.
I am part of a government that has shown it can manage the state properly and deliver good government and I will continue to do so if elected as the Member for Murray.
