DR Sergey Bibikov has been appointed as Griffith Base Hospital’s new director of medical services.

Dr Bibikov was previously executive director of medical services at Central Gippsland Health Service in Sale, Victoria.
He is a qualified medical practitioner with more than 20 years experience and has completed a fellowship training program with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
Dr Bibikov has also held significant advisory and management roles in Australia, New Zealand and Russia.
“I am keen to support the community in Griffith to access a range of quality treatment options close to home,” he said.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District acting director of operations Ken Hampson said he was delighted to welcome Dr Bibikov.
“Dr Bibikov brings a high level of medical expertise to Griffith including specialist credentials in oncology and expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology,” Mr Hampson said.
