The exhibition encapsulates the whimsical essence of the Beanie Festival and highlights the works produced by Indigenous artists from the central desert region who are regular contributors to this cross-cultural event.
Griffith Regional Art Gallery co-ordinator Richard Wholohan said Colours of the Country III was one of the gallery’s key-note exhibitions for 2015.
“The tour of the Alice Springs Beanie Festivals is always extremely popular, not just in Griffith, but all over the country, “ Mr Wholohan said. The exhibition will open with a morning tea on Saturday from 11am.
