Griffith won the toss and elected to bat but suffered a wobbly start when it lost Angus Bartter and Alex Robinson with only five runs on the board.
Blake Argus and Oliver Bartter then went about resurrecting the innings and took the score to 54 before Argus was unluckily run out for 22.
Griffith would have been hoping for another solid partnership, but what followed in the next four overs saw the home side’s chances of a win all but disappear.
Six wickets fell without the addition of a run to leave Griffith reeling at 8-54.
A last-wicket partnership of 30 between Jackson Hassan (18) and Angus Gunn (4 not out) took the score to 94 and gave Griffith’s bowlers something to defend.
In reply, Leeton enjoyed a good start as its openers withstood accurate bowling from Blake Argus before the first wicket fell with the score on 20.
Rhett McGregor and Harry Rudd then came together and ensured a Leeton victory with a brilliant partnership.
The duo took ownership of the run chase and combined for a 70-run stand.
Oliver Bartter picked up a couple of late wickets to finish with 2-11, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Leeton winning by seven wickets.
