After winning the Temora Pacers Cup earlier this month, Modern Max put in a massive effort to run fourth in the Junee Pacers Cup on Sunday.
Leeton's cup doesn't appear to be as strong as the fields he tackled at Temora or Junee, but McKelvie isn't getting too far ahead of himself.
"I don't think it is as strong, but cup races are all hard," McKelvie said.
"On paper it doesn't look as hard, but that doesn't indicate it will be easy."
Modern Max is the only C6 pacer in the race for C3-C6s and will once again have to contend with a second line draw.
McKelvie, however, isn't too concerned.
"He had to get that, but I think we should be able to overcome it," McKelvie said.
