Bennett finished the carnival with 75 runs and seven wickets from four games, the talented Coro junior proving a key performer.
Bennett was especially impressive in the final against North City after returning figures of 1-15 before hitting 33 in Western-Riverina's eight-wicket victory.
Western-Riverina co-coach Craig Footman said Bennett made a big contribution.
“He did really well for us all tournament,” he said.
“He got a couple of good 30s and also took quite a few wickets for us as well.
“It was a great all-round performance.”
Footman, who coached the team with Garth Dean, was proud of how his side performed considering its short preparation.
Featuring players from both Western and Riverina divisions, the combined outfit only had two training runs before the carnival started.
“The boys really gelled,” Footman said. “You can’t ask for more than what they did.”
