Lavaka was one of the 18 players announced by Eels coach Brad Arthur yesterday for the two-day tournament, which starts on Saturday.
The event is a huge stage for Lavaka, who starred in last year’s National Youth Competition.
Playing on the wing, Lavaka finished as the NYC’s leading try scorer and helped propel the Eels into the preliminary final.
The 195cm, 109kg flyer was invited to train with the Eels senior squad over summer and will be hoping to earn a spot on the main roster.
Parramatta’s backline will be reshuffled in 2015 following the departure of superstar fullback Jarryd Hayne, who is pursuing an NFL career in the US.
