Especially if it means they are raising awareness for an important cause when they do.
When Dean Owen from Owen Toyota received a flier calling for Griffith men to join tomorrow's Walk a Mile in Her Shoes march, he jumped at the chance to help.
The march, which will take place on White Ribbon Day, Tuesday, November 25 has been organised by The Area News and Soroptimist International Griffith to 'Say No to Violence Against Women'.
"It's a worthy cause because we shouldn't tolerate any violence against women," Mr Owen said.
"I saw the flier and straight away I thought it was a worthwhile thing and I like doing things for the community."
Mr Owen is urging other local blokes to slip into a pair of heels and join him to 'walk a mile in her shoes'.
The march, which is also open to women, will start at noon from the car park at Rossies at the top end of Banna Avenue to Memorial Park.
"I can't say I've ever tried walking in heels before," he said.
"I think I'm going to have to surgically remove my little toe to get them on.
"It's a novel way of bringing attention to the problem.
"I feel strongly that domestic violence shouldn't be kept behind closed doors.
"Real men speak up about it and not accept it and real men wear high heels to show their support. I hope other Griffith men will step out of their comfort zone for the cause too."
If high heels are too hard to navigate local men can just don any pair of women's shoes or carry a piece of female apparel on the day.
