IT'S every kid's dream telling adults what they can and can't do.
Griffith Touch Association referees Connor Lane and Isaiah Potts will be doing just that at the NSW Country Championships in Wollongong this weekend.
It's the first major tournament for the 15-year-olds, who will be refereeing men's and women's games during the two-day event.
For Connor, who has played touch since he was a junior, it's a chance to test himself at a higher level.
"I'm very much looking forward to it," he said.
"I'm guessing it's going to be a challenge, but challenges can lead to other things."
After gaining experience officiating in the GTA men's and women's competitions on Monday nights, Connor believes he has a good idea of what to expect in Wollongong.
"The players like to talk to you on the field," Connor said.
"I've had it a few times the past couple of weeks, but you just deal with it.
"But being rep, it's going to be a higher standard than Monday night.
"The players are going to be a whole lot more serious."
Isaiah said there would be a lot of pressure to get the calls right.
"It's going to be a high standard," he said.
"I might be a little (nervous), but I'll just try and keep calm."
A good player in his own right, Isaiah said adjusting to the demands of officiating hadn't been hard.
"Playing it helps you get to know all the rules," he said.
"I didn't find it very difficult at all."
