The burn consisted of prescribed burning of vegetation to reduce the bush fire fuel and assist in reducing the intensity and adverse impact of bush fires in extreme weather conditions.

The prescribed burning was undertaken at the rear of Lawford Crescent, Ortella Street, Mallinson Street, Waugh Street, Manera Street, Alexander Street.

The burn was undertaken by the Rural Fire Service and Fire & Rescue NSW.
