A man has lost his life after the car he was driving hit a tree near Tharbogang on Wednesday afternoon.

The man, who is yet to be identified, was travelling east on the Kidman Way when the dual-cab ute he was driving came off the road and struck a tree about five kilometres outside of Griffith.
Police said the man was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The crash happened at 2pm, with police closing the road in both directions and local traffic diversions put in place.
The tragic crash is still under investigation, and Griffith police, SES and RFS teams at the scene.
Formal identification is yet to take place, however police believe the man was a 23-year-old from the Coleambally area.
