A 17-YEAR-OLD Griffith youth was caught driving while intoxicated without a driver's licence on Sunday morning.

About 12.35am police stopped a vehicle on Watson Road in Griffith to conduct a random breath test.
The youth told police he had been drinking and failed a breath test.
He was placed under arrest and conveyed to Griffith Police Station where he returned a reading of 0.015.
He will appear in court to face charges for drinking while driving and driving without a licence.
Another 17-year-old youth was stopped about 1.25am in a car park near the intersection of Kidman Way and Watkins Avenue Griffith for a random breath test.
The breath test returned a negative reading, however police allege there was a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle.
The male was asked to complete a sobriety test, which he failed.
He also admitted to smoking cannabis a short time earlier.
The driver was detained for the purpose of obtaining a blood and urine sample.
Further action may be taken pending the results of these tests.
Griffith Inspector Kim Traynor reminded community members it was an offence to drive while affected by alcohol or illicit drugs.
A 23-year-old Yenda man had his licence suspended after failing a random breath test.
His vehicle was stopped about 7.25pm on Saturday on Burley Griffin Way in Yenda.
He returned a positive reading and was arrested and taken to Griffith Police Station for a breath analysis.
He returned a reading of 0.114 and will appear in Griffith Local Court.
His licence was confiscated and his licence status suspended.
