St Mary's School principal Mary Jane Simms said the "phenomenal success" was due to the hard work put in by the entire school community and beyond.
"It was organised by the St Mary's School council, but we had lots of help from everyone," she said.
"Not only were the parents and staff organising stalls, the kids had their own.
"Year 3 and 4 have had a garden this year and they made soup from the vegetables they grew. The soup sold out and the herb pots they planted were for sale and went well too.
"They were very proud of themselves.
"They got to plant seeds, watch them grow and then turn the produce into soup to sell.
"It was lovely to see the ownership they took."
The event, which was the brainchild of car enthusiast and the school's chairman John Matkovic, is now in its fourth year and continues to grow in popularity.
Around 100 vehicles of all types went on show, with four auctioned off and a percentage of the money raised going to the school. It is estimated that the day raised around $10,000 for the school.
"We had perfect weather and the band Big Unit, who donated their services, performed throughout the day.
"It made the atmosphere really special," Mrs Simms said.
"We can not thank the community enough for their support.
"We don't take for granted the generosity of Griffith businesses because we realise they get asked to support a lot of events.
"All of the prizes were donated and that made a huge difference.
"It was a magnificent day."
