The carnival was held from June 29 to July 4 and hosted teams from all around Australia.
The Indigenous side included players from all around Australia.
The side managed a clean sweep, winning all three of its games against Victoria 2, South Australia and Northern Territory.
Lynch, who played prop for the side said this was done with minimal lead up.
"In the competition we won all three of our games and took out division two. We won by big margins in excess of 50 and the other teams scored no more than 28 points against us," Lynch said.
"We had good scrummage, good rucking and played good all round footy. It all came together and we only had about three hours of training all up to come together as a team."
Lynch was honoured to get selected in the side and said even though the team was made up from all around the country it was easy to fit in.
"It was just a proud moment representing not only my family, my community, but most of all my people, it was just overwhelming when I got selected," he said.
"It was like being in a big family, the coaches from day one gave us no leash, it was just, go out, play your best footy and it was like a big happy family."
The side was put together through the Lloyd McDermott Rugby Development team which is an organisation that aims to introduce Rugby Union to young Indigenous people around Australia with hopes of coupling academics with athletics.
