La Tavola has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014 award.

The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.

Comments left about La Tavola online range from "nice blend of Italian cuisine with friendly service" to "the tastiest pizza and highly recommended gnocchi".

Waitress Maria Bianchini said they were thrilled to be selected as a winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014.

"It is based on the quality of reviews and opinions over the past year," she said.

"This award came out of the blue, but we are so pleased and proud of this because it's done by visitors from out of town.

"It shows that we are doing the food people want and providing great service. We must be doing things right."

Mrs Bianchini put the positive feedback received down to a team effort.

"It makes all of the hard work we do worth it," she said.

"From the front staff and cooks to the delivery drivers, everyone works together here.

"We'd like to thank the customers who took the time to put feedback on TripAdvisor."

The certificate "signifies that La Tavola has consistently earned outstanding feedback on TripAdvisor over the past year".
