The annual unWINEd event was declared a huge success, with all events well attended.
McWilliam's Hanwood Estate cellar door manager Karin Penninga said participants in the masterclasses were delighted to create their own blend of wine.
"Participants could adjust the wine according to their own taste," Ms Penninga said.
They were then able to take home the bottle of wine.
Ms Penninga said the winery's very first vertical tasting in which people had the chance to taste wines from different vintages was also a hit.
"We wanted to show people that it's worthwhile to age your wine," she said.
Ms Penninga said people were quite impressed to discover the difference between a 2001 vintage compared to a 2012 vintage.
People in attendance were also given advice on how to age their wine.
"If you haven't got a cellar, store it somewhere central in the house where the temperature doesn't fluctuate," she said.
Ms Penninga said she believed there were more people in attendance than last year, proving the event was becoming more popular with each passing year.
